To successfully move to and through postsecondary education, students need to build early momentum. It’s critical that they start high school off on the right foot as ninth graders, have access to quality advising well before their junior or senior year, and understand the key milestones to plan for along their path to postsecondary education and training. Districts and states can use their stimulus funds in several ways to help students build college and career momentum early in high school.
